Sands of Time is based on my childhood memories of the summer holidays and bank holiday breaks, heading to the Essex coast to my Grandparents beach hut. Looking at this place and my memories through the lens of nostalgia and also experiencing the small details of change that show the passing of time in a space that seems stuck in time and space. I created knitted samples samples and a beach cover up inspired by weather damaged beach huts to sun bleached signs and the sandy nature surrounding them.
